FAQ

  • What is your process for starting a new project?
I take a selective, partnership-led approach to new projects. For larger organisations with clear briefs and meaningful budgets, I provide tailored proposals that outline strategy, deliverables, and KPIs. I only invest time in developing substantial proposals for clients who are serious about long-term partnership and impact. For smaller projects, I require payment up front; for larger retainers, a deposit is always required before work commences. This approach ensures I can dedicate my full attention and expertise to clients who value strategic, results-driven communications.
  • What makes Mandy Queen PR different from other agencies?
I combine 25+ years of in-house and agency experience, international expertise across the UK, Asia, and North America, and a hands-on, client-first approach. You work directly with me—no junior hand-offs—ensuring senior counsel and measurable results.
  • Do you offer interim PR or communications director services?
Yes. With 12 years’ in-house experience, including as Head of Communications and a non-executive board member for a UK public food body, I understand the realities and pressures of internal communications leadership. I provide flexible interim PR and communications director support for organisations needing senior expertise during transitions, leave cover, or while recruiting. My services include strategy, team mentoring, crisis management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Do you work with clients outside the UK?
Yes, I regularly support clients in Asia, North America, and Europe, and have extensive experience managing international campaigns, trade shows, and market entry projects for global brands.
  • Do you offer PR coaching or training for teams?
Yes, I deliver one-to-one coaching and group workshops on PR strategy, media relations, messaging, and crisis communications—both in-person and online.
  • How do you measure PR results?
I use a mix of quantitative and qualitative metrics, including media coverage, share of voice, website traffic, lead generation, sentiment analysis, and tailored KPIs aligned to your business objectives.
  • What are your fees and how are they structured?
Fees vary depending on project scope and duration. I offer flexible options including monthly retainers, project-based fees, and hourly consulting. We’ll agree on a structure that fits your needs and budget.
  • Can you provide PR support for trade shows and events?
Yes. I have extensive experience both in-house with major exhibition organisers and as a consultant for leading trade show brands—including Informa, where I supported PR for over 40 shows. My work spans full press office management, media pitching, and interview coordination, as well as helping organisations drive booth attendance and maximise exposure at international events.
  • How quickly can you start?
I can often begin within a week of our initial consultation, depending on availability and project requirements.
  • What types of clients do you typically work with?
I partner with SMEs, corporates, trade associations, and global brands across sectors such as technology, hospitality, exports, and public sector. My clients range from startups seeking PR coaching to multinationals needing strategic communications or interim PR leadership.
